Links

The Cocktail link section provides the possibility to create symbolic links. Symbolic links is the unix equivalent to traditional Mac OS aliases. On Mac OS X the user can use both the traditional Mac aliases and unix links. If a original file is moved aliases stays intact while symbolic links are broken.

One can only drop one item in the drop zone. If several items i.e two files are dropped in the drop zone Cocktail neglects the action. One can only create one symbolic links at a time. The link feature does not create hard links.
