Internet cache
Cocktail supports a wide variety of internet browsers. But since Safari is the only web browser shipping with Mac OS X,
Safari is the only browser enabled in Cocktail by default. If nothing else is selected the following items will be erased
when clearing internet cache:
- Cookies
A small pieces of information stored by the web browsers in a designated file on the computer. - Download list
A list of the recently downloaded files. - Form values
Information saved and used by web browsers to automatically complete web forms. Camino, Opera and Shiira lacks this function. - History
List of the recently visited websites. - Page icons
Icons specified by the websites and displayed in the address box and next to bookmarks and addresses in the History menu.
